The Viet Kitchen, Stokes Croft – Review

I am relatively new to the Vietnamese food scene, but now I’m here I can’t get enough of it.

We were recently recommended The Viet Kitchen by a friend and we were really impressed .

The Viet Kitchen is Located in Stokes Croft directly opposite Caribbean Croft, I would liken this place to a cafe more than a restaurant. It’s a  simple venue and I would say they could fit a maximum of 20 diners at a time. What I love about this place is that they most certainly focus on the quality and flavours of the food above all else.

Ignore my husband…… how awesome is that wall behind him!

We ordered bao buns to start (how could we not!) and as you can see they looked just delightful.  I have had a lot of bao buns in recent weeks and these have to be the best of the lot! The bun was so bouncy and the fillings were full of delicious flavours!

I ordered The Don Pho next and I enjoyed the combination of 3 different cuts of beef! The broth had a nice kick of chilli and there were lots of noodles to get stuck into!

My husband had the beef shank and brisket curry which he said was fragrant and delicious! The beef beautifully soft and tender, as it should be.

If you like Vietnamese food, this place is definitely worth a visit. I know I’ll be back for more of those bao buns soon!
