Turtle Bay, Cheltenham Road – Review

I recently had the pleasure of being invited to try the brunch menu at Turtle Bay on Cheltenham road. I was excited to hear that they were now serving brunch as I’m a huge fan of their evening menu and was eager to see what Caribbean twist they would add to their brunch ideas.

I felt that the venue was perfect for brunches, very spacious with a relaxed atmosphere. The waitress was warm and welcoming. I took along my 1 year old and was happy to find that they were very accommodating and child friendly.

Now on to the good stuff, the food…..

If you like large portions then this brunch spot is for you. My smashed avocado on toast was huge and it tasted delicious, obviously being a greedy girl I had to order extra eggs and bacon. The jerk bacon I have to say is just heavenly, i could eat a plate of it!

“The Big Kingston Grill Down” certainly lived up to its name and is a dish that is guarenteed to leave you filled up. I really loved the curried chickpeas and the scrambled egg was deliciously creamy!

There are so many great places in Bristol to brunch these days, the competition is certainly high but I would definitely recommend giving this place a go. They are  great value for money and they blend beautiful Caribbean flavours with brunch classics perfectly!
